Yes, all candidates must cover the period between completing the "library
school" course and registration. If you have left it for a long time, we
suggest you give serious consideration to using the Proforoma, as the
interview will allow you to draw on relevant parts of your experience in
discussion, rather than trying to distil it into 6000 words.

Is it also true for Route A candidates that you have to discuss the
whole period between registration and submission in your PDR? I did
the library postgraduate diploma at Strathclyde in 1986-1987 and then
had a year on a training programme. Unfortunately I didn't write my
PDR at the end of that year, becauseI felt that I had not had enough
professional experience, and still have not completed it (is this a
record?). Maybe it would have helped me if there had been a
deadline for submission.
