Developer.
RealTime Hotel Reports (RTHR) is an innovative, web - based information
brokerage firm dedicated to meeting the evolving research requirements of
decision makers in the lodging industry. Since its creation in 1997,
RealTime Hotel Reports has developed proprietary software, designed a
seamless system for data processing, and compiled the largest and most
detailed database of lodging establishments in the country. Lodging
professionals are able to order highly customized reports and receive them
in virtual real-time with the launch of the web site, www.hotelreports.com,
in the Fall of 1999. Rapid development projects will continue after the
launch, as the company applies new technologies to the challenge of meeting
evolving information needs in the lodging industry.
While developing the fax- and web-based reporting interface, RealTime Hotel
Reports has been actively developing their research services. In recent
months the company has been contracted to perform research services for The
Center for Hospitality Research at Cornell University, The American Resorts
Development Association, The Mobil Travel Guidebook series, and The American
Hotel & Motel Association.

Job Description:
* Create, test, and insure quality of programs
* Design, evaluate and update how the web page will work
* Integrate map functionality
* Collaborate in conceptual design of Map - related report products
* Troubleshoot problems with developing programs
* Research different products and new programs
* Respond to requests and create status reports for tasks
Requirements: Excellent knowledge of Active X objects, Map Info
Professional, Map Xtreme, MapMarker Average knowledge of following is
beneficial: Visual Basic, ASP, HTML, SQL Server (ability to communicate with
those who use it frequently) Collaborative Team Player, Self-starter, must
be able to multi - task and manage priorities efficiently, good
communication and interpersonal skills, creative problem -solver and
positive disposition.
The position requires relocation to Ithaca, NY, a small but incredibly
scenic and culturally diverse university city (Cornell University & Ithaca
College). Located one hour from Syracuse and four hours from New York City.
