POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER (EARTHQUAKE TRIGGERING)
Initial salary within the range £16,286 - £ 24,479 pa
A scientist with a PhD in seismology is required for a research project on
stress triggering of earthquakes (see JGR special issue for further
information on the topic, V103, B10, 1998). The project involves working
with unique induced seismicity data from an underground research laboratory
in Canada as well as natural seismicity. You will work with Professor Young
as part of an interdisciplinary team, at the newly established Seismology
Laboratory/Observatory in the Department. The post is funded by external
contacts including NERC for two years, commencing October 1999.
