General Linguistics/ Wellesley College
The Language Studies Program at Wellesley College invites
applications for a part-time, non-tenure track, visiting assistant
professor position. The position is for the 1999-2000 academic
year, with the possibility of renewal. The successful candidate
must show evidence of considerable teaching skill at the
undergraduate level and must be able to assure the core
curriculum in linguistics, which includes the introductory
course, intermediate courses in phonetics and phonology and/or
syntax and semantics, and advanced courses in the
candidate's area of specialization. Wellesley College is an EO/AA

Qualifications: Ph.D. in linguistics
Area of specialization: Open, though special attention will be
paid to candidates with backgrounds in historical
linguistics,sociolinguistics, and/or phonetics.
Duties: Two courses per semester
