Hi, I'd like to welcome the latest additions to the Criminology list
and remind existing subscribers of its purpose. Its gone quiet of
late, yet there are now more subscribers than ever before.
The purpose of this list, currently run by myself on behalf of the
British Society of Criminology, is to provide a means by which
useful information relating to criminology and criminal justice can
be circulated to the criminological community. This information can
be conferences, seminars, new publications, reports, job adverts -
virtually anything as long as its criminological.
At present the list is unmoderated so members can post their
own information, but inevitably the commercial bulk emailers will try
and exploit the list, we have been very lucky so far.
Feel free to post any information relating to Criminology. You can
either send it directly to [log in to unmask] or to me
[log in to unmask] and I'll post it on for you [Please mark
quite clearly that you want me to post it].
Could I ask that you keep your information relevant and not to keep
resending it (without good reason), although we have to accept that
there will be some cross-posting from one mail list to another.
Also, please include the information in the body of the text and
NOT as an attachment. This makes life easier for everybody,
especially tose who gain access to the list from commercial
service providers by using modems.
Best wishes
David
P.S. Please note that I've also formed a new list called
Cybercrimes for those who are interested.
