RESEARCH OFFICER 1(A)
'Changing Sites of Education: Educational Media and the Domestic Market'
You will contribute to research activities on this ESRC-funded project concerned with the 
production, characteristics and uses of 'educational' media aimed at the domestic market. 
You will need a higher degree in a relevant field and some experience of one or more of: 
conducting and analysing semi-structured interviews with children or adults; designing and 
analysing quantitative social surveys; and quantitative and/or qualitative analysis of print 
and/or audio-visual texts.
Salary will be on the Research 1A  scale, maximum on application £17570, plus LWA. Job 
share considered. Appointment from December 1999 for 2 years.
