Islands: histories and representations is an international conference to
be held at the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK on 21, 22, 23 April
1999, under the joint auspices of the Centre for Colonial and
Postcolonial Research and the Literature and Place Project in the School
of English.

Workshop
There will be a Workshop on Thursday afternoon for those who would like
to present short papers describing their research on any of the themes
of the conference. There will also be a stall at the conference where
fuller versions of these papers can be displayed and borrowed.
The Workshop will be chaired by Dr Paul Sharrad (University of
Wollongong). Those interested in participating should contact the
conference organisers.
