Many thanks for the useful replies I received about how to save the output
files of Winbugs in a suitable form for CODA.
Here there is a summary:
1.
Within NT you can get rid of the extension by doing it in MS-DOS rather
than through rename in Explorer.
e.g. from a DOS prompt
C:> rename fred.out.txt fred.out
2.
Stefano,
If you type in the coda file names using quotes you will not have to
remove the txt extension. i.e. "name.out" instead of name.out. You
still need to save it as a text file though.

I don't know much about CODA on NT but there is a text editor for windows
95 and NT called TextPad which will allow you to save the files with what
ever extension you wish. (Select "Save as" put "Save as type" to "All Files
(*.*)")

Again, thanks to you all
Stefano
