Enquiries at the University of Glamorgan are dealt with centrally and by
each school dependant on where the initial query is directed. Each School
provides information to the central admissions for issue - what is sent
depends on the School.
As for the School of Electronics, at the first stage of enquiry, I would
send the School brochure which shows only our courses, a list of telephone
numbers to enable them to contact the correct person without any delays and
where applicable an invitation to School Open Days. If the student is also
interested in other courses I would provide a University prospectus. This
procedure may vary if during the enquiry detailed information which is not
in the brochures is required and the student would be directed to the course
Leader who will then probably add more information of his own.
Part time students are dealt with in a similar way but most are actually
dealt with face to face in an interview type situation.
Post-graduates are sent only relevant information.
Thank you
Chris Griffiths
