Brenda / Richard
Our Social Services department have passed me the following information:
'We purchase Mortality Data from the Public Health Office. It is not the
remit of Registrars to inform Social Services. They have to inform the
Office of Population Census and Surveys (OPSC) of the Office of National
Statistics. The Public Health Office is one of the organisations who can buy
this data from them. In turn we are one of the organisations who can buy
from the Public Health Office'
I hope this helps - please contact me if you want to discuss it further
