It does, from nil up to several percents. It may be present as metal
and/or in its oxidized stage.
One of the still open questions is to which metal technology slags
belong containing at the same time Fe, Cu, Pb, and other significant
elements in various amounts and sometimes with a very different
mineralogical composition (iron, copper, lead, silver, ?zinc? -
technologies). An article concerning relevant questions on the base of
"Speise" containing ancient slags from the Iberian peninsula is just in
print (PACT, in honour of Claude Domergue).
