Applications are invited for the position of
Research Assistant
to work on a Ph.D. degree in the Department of Educational Measurement and
Data-analysis, University of Twente, the Netherlands. The appointment will
be for a four-year period, with review after one year.
Task
The research project will focus on the development of statistical methods
for detecting different types of cheating on examinations and tests. Both
traditional paper-and-pencil tests and computerized adaptive testing formats
are addressed. The effectiveness of the methods will be investigated through
theoretic development and analyses using simulated and empirical data sets.
Results will be published both in journal articles and in the form of a
doctoral dissertation.
Requirement
An M.Sc. or equivalent degree in applied statistics, econometrics, or the
behavioral/social sciences.
Offer
Salary will be NLG 2261 gross per month in the first year, increasing to NLG
4037 gross per month in the fourth year of appointment. In addition, the
research assistant will receive an extra premium of NLG 8400 in the first
year, NLG 6000 in the second year and 3600 in the third of appointment to
cover such costs as travel to conferences, purchase of a (laptop) computer,
and printing of dissertation.
