RESEARCH FELLOW IN MEDICAL STATISTICS
Full-time for 15 months
Required to conduct research into HIV/STI prevention in Zimbabwe. The post holder will work on two pilot intervention studies, in collaboration with researchers at the University of Zimbabwe, University College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In these two studies, a sexual health intervention for adolescents, and an educational and STD treatment intervention for sex workers, will be developed and pre-tested. Both pilot studies are intended to lead on to large-scale randomised intervention trials for which further funding will be sought. The post-holder will be employed by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and will be based in Harare, Zimbabwe.
Applicants should have a post-graduate qualification in statistics and practical experience of working in medical statistics, including experience of data analysis and familiarity with statistical and database software packages. Basic salary £16,655 to £24,591 depending on qualifications and experience.
