Applications are invited for the above post in the Department of
Statistics at Trinity College, Dublin. The appointment will be
tenable from September 1999, and may be made either on a
permanent basis or on contract for a fixed period of five years.
The Department is particularly keen to make an appointment at
the interface of Information Systems, Management Science and
Statistics, but applications will be welcome from candidates
with research and teaching potential of relevance to any of its
areas of interest. Members of staff are actively involved in
research in image analysis, models and diagnostics for
correlated data, demographic and social statistics, information
systems, data mining and classification, quality control and
Bayesian modelling. The successful candidate will be expected
to participate in the core teaching of the Department.
Salary scales:
Lecturer Grade II:IRPounds 16,348 - 25,933
Lecturer Grade I: IRPounds 32,997 - £40,384
Appointment will be made on the Lecturer Grade II scale, within
the salary range IRPounds16,384 - 23,068 per annum, the point of
entry to the scale being commensurate with qualifications and
experience to date.
