MICHAEL NOBLE, UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD
TITLE: "Is small beautiful? The challenge of creating an up to date index of small area multiple deprivation"?
SYNOPSIS "Traditional approaches to devising small area indices of deprivation have
relied heavily on the decennial Census of Population. They are limited by
the paucity of deprivation data collected by the Census and by the fact that
in a fast changing world they are soon out of date. A new approach using
recently available administrative data will be described emphasising the
methodological challenges and our attempts to overcome them. "
DAVID GORDON, UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL

advances
