Hi,
Some of you may be concerned about the effect of the Y2K bug on
Mailbase's service. The Mailbase team have put a lot of work into
updating their systems and they anticipate that the service will
be fully Y2K compliant by year end.
However, problems may arise if list member's services aren't fully
Y2K compliant. If you have any doubt about the reliability of your
service provider then *please* take the precautionary step of
suspending your Mailbase mail.
To suspend your mail from all of the Mailbase lists of which you
are a member send a message to
[log in to unmask]
containing the two lines
suspend mail all
stop
In the new year you can then resume your mail by sending the commands
resume mail all
stop
to the same address.
It seems unlikely that there will be much (if any?) activity on
Allstat during the festivities, but when you get back to the office
you can check the archives to see if you've missed anything while
your mail was suspended. You can get to the archives from the
Allstat webpage

Have a good Christmas and a happy (and bug free) New Year.
Matt
