LECTURER IN STATISTICS

We are looking for a qualified statistician, with an interest and an
enthusiasm for statistical methods relevant to applied problems. This
new post is to strengthen the growing research interests of this group
and to contribute towards teaching, especially on the MSc in Applied
Statistics. For details of the MSc see

Research areas of particular interest are Social, Educational and
Medical Applications, Demography and Business/Industrial Statistics.
You will be expected to have some experience of statistical research,
either in the context of study for a higher degree or in terms of
practical consultancy or employment.
It is expected that a Napier funded PhD studentship could be made
available to fund a student in a research area of the appointee's
interest.
This is an established post within MAPS, not a short-term appointment.
