Greetings All.
First, thank you all for your very useful replies to my request for help on
Deeming Regression. I am taking them up.
May I impose upon you again.
I place this request for help from one of my customers in a small lab who
does not have access to the net. As I sell neither reagents nor analysers,
but am only helping with mathematical tools, I trust you will find the list
ethical guidelines have not been violated.
The test is Gradipore Russell's Viper Venom Test. There is a screen, LA-S
and a confirmatory, LA-C. The test is being run on an IL Futura. The package
insert gives the manual Reference Range LA-S of 31 - 34 seconds and LA-C of
30-38 seconds. Plus the usual caveat that each lab must determine it's own
Reference Range.
The customer has found with 29 apparently healthy samples:
LA-S a wider distribution no outliers , mean 39.5, range 29 - 62 seconds
LA-C a very narrow distribution, no outliers, mean 25.4 range 23 - 30
seconds
Can anyone offer guidance as to expected performance on an automated
analyzer, and expected reference ranges for this kit (or perhaps others).
My thanks
Ralph Katzenell
