Dear All,
A patient of mine had long exposure over several years to sheep dip in the
first half of the 1960's. They used no protective clothing and had to
physically hold the sheep in the dip, gaining an impressive amount of skin
and mucous membrane exposure to substances that were subsequently banned,
presumably for reasons of toxicity.
He has suffered from various vague neurological and muscular symptoms
intermittently since then, and has recently remembered the exposure and made
the connection aftrer watching a TV documentary (which I didn't see).
Is anyone on the list aware of any evidence for such a connection, and if so
could you pass on the details?
Many thanks,
John.
