Colleagues--
I forward on a query received from Studium list which includes Italy.
Perhaps someone has information which can help Prof. Leedham-Green. I
apologize if this query was already cross-posted and I missed it.

We are looking for data for universities in
the UK
the USA
Germany
Japan
France
Sweden and
Italy.
We are interested in these two variables:
1. the date when certain subjects (see below) were first examined;
2. the numbers of students graduating in target years between 1820
and 1990, according to academic subjects or groups of subjects,
e.g.:
Physics
Chemistry
Engineering
Humanities.
We are familiar with the historical statistics of:
Mitchell
Flora
US Department of Commerce
UNESCO Yearbooks
Maddison
Can anyone suggest any other sources, published or unpublished,
please?
