It has come to my attention that an MS Word file which was made available
on the CEBM ftp site contained a macro virus. This file has been removed,
and all other Word files removed as a precaution.
The file in question is workshee.doc, which was linked from the CEBM web
page on critical appraisal guides. If you think you have downloaded this
file, delete it straight away and contact me at:

This virus is transmitted via MS Word templates, and though in itself is
more irksome than damaging, it is difficult to get rid of once contracted.
Again, contact me if you want advice.
The Centre routinely runs up-to-date virus scanning software on all of its
files, but this one must have escaped the net, either by having a version
of the virus which was not recognised by our software or by being
overwritten with an upload. For this reason, I have removed all Word files
and changed ftp privileges so that this cannot happen again.
If you are using ftp to send us any documents, please use ONLY the
directory /pub/uploads.
Cheers
