Hello,
I am interested in the Dublin Core and read a lot of
papers about it but still have a few questions.
Thanks for any help on it.
1) What is the current status of the Dublin Core element set?
As far as I could figure out the
RFC 2413: Dublin Core Metadata for Resource Discovery, September 1998
was the latest published standardization efford document.
2) What is the correct use of the LANG and SCHEME qualifiers with
HTML (4.0)?
Since HTML4 also defines a lang and a scheme attribute for the
meta element I am not sure to use
a)
<META name="DC.Title" content="Journal of Educational Psychology (LANG=en)">
<META name="DC.Subject" content="370.15 (SCHEME=DDC)">
OR
b)
<META name="DC.Title" content="Journal of Educational Psychology" lang="en">
<META name="DC.Subject" content="370.15" scheme="DDC">
3) Is it (how is it) possible to reference the Dublin Core in HTML4
as a profile?
Is the following correct?
<HEAD profile=" http://purl.org/metadata/dublin_core">
<TITLE>How to create software user manuals</TITLE>
<META name="DC.Title" content=" How to create software user manuals ">
...
</HEAD>
Thanks for any help
