Herete!
Afroditi, you should make your question more specific. Are you
looking at the general level of of physical activity, or specific
activities such as walking, weight training et al.
Up to date references are something you should look for yourself
using the available databases such such as Medline, Sportsdiscus, and
Psyclit. If you are searching for a specific, difficult to find
reference, then it is acceptable to post a request to the various
mailing lists, such as sportsci, or sportpsy.
However, you might start your search with the work of Adrian Taylor
(Chelsea School, University of Brighton), who has published work on
GP Referral schemes, and other related work on the general topic you
are interested in. There is a vast literature out there, but there
are no shortcuts!
Look at the citations and see whose work is referenced most often,
then look at the most recent years to see if they have published
anything new.
Good luck,
Ian Rogers M.Med.Sci.
