Hello Ben,
Many o/seas students have tried to get placements in Australia but are
generally unsuccessful because the school does not assist since they have
difficulty in finding enough placements for their own students particularly
in Sydney. Sydney has the largest school in the world and with a population
of only 4 million in Sydney, it is hard to find clinical units.
Your best bet is to seek out some hospitals and /or private practices and go
it alone. I am not sure how acceptable that would be to your school since
the assessment would be difficult to do.
Good luck,
Anna Lee
