Dear all
A further update to the previous message about a possible virus on
CORDIS II-98. It would seem that EUR-OP was mistaken and that there is
no virus on CORDIS after all. Apologies if any of you were panicking.
Best wishes
Catherine
==================
after my message sent out last Friday, I have just received the following
message from the CORDIS author's service:
"After extensive testing carried out by both the Commission and the CORDIS
QA I would like to inform you that we are now treating the issue of the
VIRUS on the CORDIS CD-ROM edition II-98 as a false alarm.
I am sure that you will agree with me, we had to take immediate precautions
to alert you all of the fact prior to any testing but no further actions
will be taken and the CD-ROM is regarded as CLEAN."
The message to the subscribers had not yet been dispatched - if you didn't
inform your clients, they didn't receive anything on the VIRUS problem.
Sorry for all the inconveniences caused by this matter.
Kind regards,
Gisela Wagner
