Can anyone give me some advise? I work at the University of Edinburgh
Disability Office. We have come across several problems, which we
hope specialised equipment will solve.
Firstly, we have a student, who has a back injury and is unable to
sit down. He is required to take exams soon, and we need some type of
lectern/draughtsman's desk for him which will allow him to take his
exams standing up. Clearly, a standard architectural draughtsman's
desk will probable do the job. However, does anyone know of a piece
of equipment specially designed for such a situation?
Secondly, we are looking for an item of equipment for carrying people
up stairs. Does anyone know who makes such equipment? Does anyone know
of an organisation in th Edinburgh area which could lend us one on
Dec 1st (rather late notice, I know)?
Any advice appreciated. Tom Ward at University of Edinburgh Disbailty
Office
