The Geography Division of the School of the Environment at the University
of Brighton is seeking to appoint two staff in the areas of Human and
Environmental Geography with effect from 1st February 1999 or as soon as
possible thereafter.
Human Geography post ref:EN176 - research and teaching in Human Geography,
for which experience in Economic Geography or Social Geography is required
and expertise in qualitative methods would be an advantage.
Environmental Geography post ref:EN177 - research and teaching in
Environmental Geography. Candidates should have experience in
Environmental Assessment / Environmental Policy or Natural Resource
Management.
Ideally candidates should have a relevant PhD, be active researchers with
a publication record and be skilled at the design and delivery of
stimulating learning programmes.Flexibility, adaptability, good teamwork
skills and initiative are essential for both posts.
