Dear all
I have been very interested in the discussions ongoing on
the list. My view point comes from the textile design side
specifically knitting, where the introduction of computers has been a
real booon to designers, allowing us to explore colourways and ideas
in a more indepth manner.knitting has always been designed on graph
paper and computers are a new version of graph paper and colour.
Cad as yet is not good for all over three dimensional texture but as
an initial tool it has allowed knitted textile designers to become
more inquisitive in terms of design.
I would say that the major problem that I come across is the
relationship of colour on screen to the printed image the two are
always different.
I look forward to ongoing discussions on the list.
