This is a post to work on an EPSRC funded project 'Health
Variations and Policy Variations'. The successful applicant will
have the day to day responsibility for designing, piloting,
administering and analysing a questionnaire which will be sent to
stakeholders in Health Authorities and local authorities. This
questionnaire is designed to ascertain the role and importance of
equity and health variations in the policy process by determining
the individual and organisational desirability of concepts and
operational definitions of equity and the feasibility of
mechanisms to achieve equity. Basic quantitative devices such
multiple choice sets, likert scaling and ranking will be used.
The appointment is for six months and will be based at Bath.
Applicants should have a first degree in social sciences or
statistics, preferably with some research experience, ideally in
the area of health.
Starting salary up to £17,570 per annum according to
qualifications and experience.
