The Robens Centre for Health Ergonomics, EIHMS, University of Surrey in
collaboration with Dr. Gary Macfarlane and Professor Alan Silman of the
Arthritis and Rheumatism Council Epidemiology Research Unit at the
University of Manchester are embarking on a study of back pain in
schoolchildren.
The student appointed would be expected to work closely with the the
lead research team (in Manchester) but would be based at the University
of Surrey. The student will complement the research by considering the
exposure to risk of schoolchildren using an ergonomic methodological
approach. The project would suit those with an ergonomic/epidemiologic
background, although other applicants would be considered.
The appointment would start as soon as possible and be a full time
studentship for a period of three years. Those interested should contact
