I suspect (having seen your photo in the BMJ - congrats) that you know much
more about the legal side of things than I do. However, I am curious, are
you refering to the legality of a houseman seeing and discharging a patient
on their own? I believe that PRHO's cannot independantly practice so would
have to have all their patients checked by a senior. The level to which
this checking occured may (I do not know) be open to question. Could simply
discussing the case before discharge (as is the practice in US ED's)
constitute supervision?
