Journalists even on such a distinguished organ as the Sentinel are often
unable to distinguish between the health care professionals who deal wit
the injured in the pre-hospital setting - usually paramedics and those
health care professionals who work in an A&E Dept.
I suspect that this young man had his chest opened in the AED (indicated
if he had signs of life within a few minutes of arriving in the dept or
arrested in the dept but not otherwise) by an A&E Consultant or SpReg.
The report of the inquest either as written or as edited may have merged
his pre-hospital treatment with his in hospital treatment.
On the other hand if the report is true....
