By way of reminding subscribers of the CAQDAS Networking Project Web resources
I have just put in a link to the recently released version of AQUAD (version
5.3) - developed by Gunter Huber, of the University of Tubingen, Germany.
I confess I am not familiar with the software - but understand it is costed
at a relatively 'budget' price - and the demo version is useful for
exploring with your own data - since you are given the full version but only
on a 30 day licence. Also the manual (in English) is downloadable from this
page.
An earlier version 4.0 was reviewed in Weitzman and Miles (1995) Sage, and
presumably the new version has added new features. The developer will add
more detail later this week.
The demo(i.e. full but temporary version) is provided in PC 16 bit version
(Windows 3.11) and 32 bit version (Windows 95). These versions are similar
- but 32 bit is "ten times faster".
OK ....
the link to this and other demo's is incorporated within the CAQDAS
Networking Project Web site at
http://www.soc.surrey.ac.uk/caqdas/
