Dear Bart
Firstly, I tend to agree with Andrea. In my experience fitness training with
MS is variable. I have found it necessary to make exercise programs very
individual. Exactly the right amount of exercise is beneficial, however too
much and then the effects are actually detrimental.(I think this is related
to the patients individual ability to manage fatigue - a major issue with
almost all MS patients)
As to your patient claiming that he is cured from MS - if that is true all
hell will break out in the Western world as flocks of desperate MS sufferers
clamour to find out his secret. As far as I know (and I could well be wrong)
there is no cure to MS. The most likely scenario is that your patient had a
plaque that has settled and he has made a good recovery and gone into
remission.
I would also be interested to hear other opinions.
Regards
Claire (UK physio)

Hi there,
Is it possible to train (fitness) with a MS-patient?
The patient stated he's cured from MS, but is that possible?
All the best and thnx in advance,
Bart Kila
