Developing Poverty Measures: Research in Europe
A series of Conferences sponsored by the
UK Economic and Social Research Council
The aim of this series of Conferences is to review the best European research into poverty and explore
whether there can be a scientific consensus on measures of "absolute" and "overall" poverty suggested
in the programme of action agreed by 117 countries at the 1995 World Summit on Social Development.
