In my experience teaching the Dublin Core in seminars and workshops, I
have noticed that some careful readers of RFC 2413 have been confused by
the definition of the Relation element.
As it now reads, in part:
An identifier of a second resource and its relationship to the
present resource.
This definition has led some to conclude that the relationship is to be
expressed in terms of the second resource, or, from B to A, where A and
B are the primary and secondary resources, respectively.
Of course, the relationship is expressed from A to B.
An alternative definition might be:
The relation of the current resource to another resource and a
pointer to that other resource.
Just a suggestion for those of you who might be writing user guides or
other instructional materials.
