Two questions about Nud.ist 3:
1. I am writing search-text commands in command files that include a large
number of search terms in the search string. If I format these so that the
enire search string is on one line,it works fine but is hard to read in the
command file (and in a report on the resulting node). Is there some way to
break up a long line like this? I tried applying "format command" in the
editor, and it does break up the long line, but I then get the following
error message when I try to run the command:
checking command : (SEARCH-TEXT "[qualitative|phenomenological|grounded
theor|ethnograph|thematic analysis|intensi
ve interview|narrative|flexible method]" PATTERN-SEARCH? YES NODE (500 2 2)
NODE-TITLE "QualRef" DISPLAY-MODE TO-SCREEN)
running command 1 of 1 : (SEARCH-TEXT
"[qualitative|phenomenological|grounded
theor|ethnograph|thematic analysis|intensi
ve interview|narrative|flexible method]" PATTERN-SEARCH? YES NODE (500 2 2)
NODE-TITLE "QualRef" DISPLAY-MODE TO-SCREEN)
This computer system cannot handle
the character '
' in your search pattern.
Command Failed to Complete.
Command file run completed.
There was 1 error.
2. No matter what I've tried, the command DISPLAY-MODE TO-SCREEN doesn't
result in anything being displayed to the screen. Is there some trick to it
that I am missing?
Thanks.
