Hello intarchers!
I have noticed a substantial number of people have joined the list in the
last few weeks. It would be good to hear from them -- about their
interests, why they joined the list, ideas about the journal/electronic
publication in general.
Of course , this doesn't mean that the rest of you 'older' members can't
join in too!!
I have just been sent a comment by one of our readers regarding an early
paper in issue 1 (Tomlinson and Hall paper) and, with her
permission, I have re-posted it here.
"Terrific site! The "search by taxa" feature is very helpful.
One small request, however: could you please endeavor to use
gender-neutral language on your site? I cite as an example your
chapter,
"Plants used by Man, but not for Food"
The use of the term "Man" in archaeology to indicate humans is
extremely outmoded, and rather off-putting to researchers who are
women. Plenty of alternatives exist!"
Comments and responses anyone?
Judith
