There are now also a limited number of grants to help postgraduates pay

ENRGHI 98
(Emerging Research in Geographies of Health & Impairment)
16 - 17 June 1998, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow UK
This conference, the fourth in a series started in 1995, is aimed at
postgraduates and those who have recently completed their PhD's who
have an interest in geographical aspects of health, health-care,
impairment and related topics. We hope to provide new researchers
with a supportive and encouraging environment in which to present
papers or posters, exchange ideas, debate and make friends.
Prof Chris Philo and Prof G Melvyn Howe have also kindly agreed
to give keynote papers reflecting different traditions in the
geography of health
We are currently accepting abstracts of not more than 250 words to
be received no later than 1st April 1998.
A selection of papers (subject to peer review) will published in
a special issue of Area.

The meeting is subsidised by the RGS-IBG Geography Of Health Reseach
Group, Strathclyde University and MRC Medical Sociology Unit. The
cost will be stlg39 (inclusive of food & accomodation, conference
proceedings and wine reception).
There are also a limited number of grants available to help pay
