Anne,
Has your patient had a hip/pelvic xray? If not then be very careful! I had
a patient admitted for severe intractable L/B pain with pain in the groin
and along the IT band. When the MD ordered an xray (after this poor man was
in agony for 3 days!) it ended up showing a hip fracture (no hx of falling).
Don't assume that the dx given by the MD is necessarily correct. Good Luck.
