Dear all
With many apologies for possible cross-postings and for two acts of blatant
publicity, but ...
1) We have revised and improved our MA in Human Geography at Leeds,
which we very much hope you could draw to the attention of your students.
This programme includes the following modules:
Transforming Nature: Society & Environment -- Martin Purvis
Globalisation and the Market Place -- Niall Majury
Representing People and Places: Oriental Visions, Eastern Realities
-- Paul Waley
Consumption, Society, and Space -- Dave Clarke
Studying Society and Space -- Debbie Phillips
We have two ESRC-funded studentships, and this is a recognised ESRC
research training course. We are also offering part-fee bursaries.
2) A message I meant to get out much earlier, but there's still time
(although not a lot of it).
We are currently advertising for a lecturer in human geography
(grades A or B), with a research interest in the Global South. If you
know of anyone who might be interested, please pass the news on.
And, just to introduce (disclose?) myself, I specialise in Japan,
Tokyo in particular, historical and contemporary, cities and rivers.
Thanks, Paul Waley
