Three academic appointments
Senior Lecturer, Lecturer A, Teaching Fellow
As a result of continued expansion this academically strong Department (RAE
5A, TQA excellent) is seeking to fill a range of academic posts in 1998.
Applications for the first three of these posts are now invited.
Senior Lecturer in Human Geography (Reference Number E/324)
Research strengths in one of three human geography research themes
(Culture, space and power/GIS and applied spatial analysis/Geographies of
accumulation, regulation and uneven development) are required along with a
willingness to take a leading rôle in Masters level teaching.
The salary for this permanent post is in the range £29,380-£33,202.
Lecturer A in Human Geography (Reference Number E/325)
Research strengths as above.
The salary for this permanent post is in the range £16,045-£21,016.
Teaching Fellow in Geography (Reference Number E/326)
Research strengths in any of six Departmental research themes (Culture,
space and power/Remote sensing for Earth observation/Geographies of
accumulation, regulation and uneven development/GIS and applied spatial
analysis/Hydrology and fluvial geomorphology/Quaternary environmental
change). The post will also involve demonstrating, supervision, field class
and occasional lecturing duties.
The salary for this three year fixed-term post is £15,159-£16,927.
