CENTRE FOR MODERN LANGUAGES
Lecturer in German
The Centre for Modern languages is a growing academic
unit within the Open University, specialising in the
teaching and research of languages.
A full-time Lecturer in German is required to
contribute to the development and preparation of two
German courses currently being written in the Centre.
You will be required to work on written and
audio-visual learning materials, the development of
assessment materials and to make a contribution to
residential school.
The above post is for 12 months initially and is
based at the University's headquarters at Walton
Hall, Milton Keynes.
You should be a graduate linguists (or equivalent)
with a native or near-native level of competence in
both German and English. The salary will be on the
Lecturer A scale stlg16,655 to stlg21,815 pa or Lecturer B
scale stlg22,726 to stlg29,048 pa. Secondments will be
considered.
