The Wellcome Trust launched a unique programme giving social scientists and
the public the chance to look at complex ethical issues surrounding advances
in biomedical science in March this year.
The Medicine in Society programme will provide £15 million over the next
five years. The programme will support social and public policy research
into the implications of biomedical advance. It will also contribute to
public policy through research and education projects designed to encourage
the public, schools, health professionals and the media to engage in
discussion of biomedical issues.

I am conducting an audit of UK based public understanding of MEDICAL
science initiatives.
Does anyone have any details of any lists or projects they are working on,
or are aware of?
Many thanks
Louise
