My recollection is that the IMine had a library which was in a somewhat
disorganised state, when their headquarteres were in Grosvenor Place,
London. Again, from memory. that library was transferred on loan, to
the University of Newcastle on Tyne. I suspect that library may have a
significant quantity of old material.
Some years ago, I discovered a lot of bound volumes of the early
Transactions of the IMinE at North Warwickshire College, Nuneaton.
These were on the stack and in good condition. I suspect that any
university which has/had a mining deparrtment may have sets of past
copies of the transactions.
