ZDNet AnchorDesk
     Independent of vendors, AnchorDesk is a technology news service aiming
     to provide notification of important stories. Subscribers to the
     service receive regular email alerting them to new developments, with
     more detailed information available on the Web.
WebPromote Metatag Builder
     Computer program to insert metatags in HTML source code. Users enter
     the URL of their chosen page, keywords, and a description of the page.
     The source code, with Metatags inserted, is delivered via email.
ISO Country Codes
     Complete list of all two-letter ISO (International Organization for
     Standardization) country codes, as used in Internet domain names.
Web Standards Project
     International coalition of Web developers which aims to persuade
     browser makers to support standards created by the World Wide Web
     Consortium (W3C) and other standards bodies.
WebCoder
     Information on JavaScript and Dynamic HTML. Includes tutorials,
     documentation, demonstrations and an archive of simple scripts.
Open Source Page
     Articles on Open Source software including a brief introduction to the

Linux Center
     Index of sources of information about the Linux operating system, its

Linux System Administrators' Guide

UK Linux Links

Resource Description Framework (RDF) Resources

Report of the Independent Commission on the Voting System - Jenkins Report

National Assembly for Wales

Currency Exchange Rates History Graphs

     Offers news, links and academically-authored UK legal resources for

General Council of The Bar

Canada Centre for Remote Sensing: Disaster Monitoring
     Information on research and products for the monitoring of natural

Emergency Preparedness Information Exchange
     EPIX is concerned with the prevention of, preparation for, and
     recovery from natural and socio-technological disasters. Offers

     Communications, Foreign Animal Diseases and Volcanoes. Also includes
     links to related organisations and events worldwide, situation reports
     and natural hazard warnings.
Educate Online

National Centre for Technology in Education

Electronic Commerce Europe
     International non-profit making consortium aiming to promote,

     Europe. Includes news items about the electronic commerce market in
     Europe, conference details and reports.
Financial Issues Working Group Resources - Electronic Commerce
     Links to articles about electronic commerce resources such as BankNet,
     an Internet banking service, Chipper, a smart card to buy parking
     tickets, and Proton, a rechargeable electronic purse.
Making Electronic Commerce Work
     Set of documents from IBM about electronic commerce. The governmental

Personal Data Interchange: vCard and vCalendar
     Details of the vCard and vCalendar technologies for personal data

CILT: Centre for Information on Language Teaching and Research
     Charitable trust supported by central government grants, with the aim
     of collecting and disseminating information on all aspects of modern
     languages and the teaching of modern languages. Includes information
     on the Comenius network, CILT projects and initiatives, and a
     selection of reference resources. Languages covered include French,
     German, Spanish, Basque, Bulgarian, Cantonese, English, Finnish,
     Modern Greek, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Lithuanian, Malay,

Language Teaching with the Web
     A compilation of ideas for using Web resources as a language teaching

LinguaCentral Language Resources

Italian Interactive Test
