Two faculty vacancies exist at the University of Sussex Library:
Sub-Librarian (Systems) and Assistant Librarian (Systems).
SUB-LIBRARIAN (Systems) Ref 333
Following a recent retirement there is a vacancy for a Sub-Librarian
(Systems). The postholder will have responsibility for electronic and
other systems in the Library (including Library housekeeping, PCs,
etc), and participate with the Librarian and two other Sub-Librarians
in the general running of the Library, and co ordination and
development of Library policies.
Applicants should be professionally qualified graduates with
appropriate experience (almost certainly in an academic library), and
an interest in developing and maintaining a robust and hospitable
infrastructure for a wide range of services.
Salary in the range: 29,380 - 33,202 pounds per annum (under review).
ASSISTANT LIBRARIAN (Systems) Ref 334
The Assistant Librarian, will join the Systems Area team, which is
responsible for all computer systems in the Library. The successful
applicant will have demonstrated practical experience of information
computing in an academic environment over several years.
Applicants should be suitably qualified graduates seeking a
challenging career development opportunity.
Salary in the range: 17,606 - 22,785 pounds, or 23,691 - 27,985pounds
per annum (under review), depending on experience and qualifications.
