NEW Library Association workshop for those experienced in supervising
staff, who want to develop their skills further....
'Skills for Supervisors, part II' 24th June, London
Why part II?
We have already run a number of workshops for those new to supervising
staff and they have proved extremely popular! There have been so many
requests for a follow up that we have put together this new workshop for
those already familiar with the basic skills of supervision.
The day will help you develop further all the key skills of an effective
supervisor:
* good communication
* assertiveness
* problem solving
* understanding of how to develop staff
* active listening
...with the aim of moving beyond supervising tasks to developing the
full potential in staff.
Plus, there will be plenty of opportunity to raise those issues that you
may find persistently difficult when supervising others- perhaps
reprimanding or motivating staff.
Please reserve your place early by calling Nicky Thompson or Jenna
Cunningham on 0171 636 7543 ext 288/9 or return the booking form below
to confirm your place.
