Regarding the official time in disputed territories, I can contribute
giving as a curious example my area of research. The Spanish
land-enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla have the same time as Spanish
mainland. But when you cross the border to Morocco, in the summer time
you must change your watch 2 hours backwards and in winter only 1 hour.
Although the enclaves' sovereignty is disputed between both countries,
for the people living in the enclaves it is clear that the time to
follow is the Spanish time. On the other hand, the people living in
Morocco, highly dependant of the smuggling from the enclaves, have to
adjust their working ours to those of the enclaves. They must get up 2
hours early to be able to get on time when the shops open in Spain!
