I am not aware of very much published data on the Mac probe, and would
be interested in any other references that anyone else reports, but the
following should be of some assistance.
One of the most thorough published correlation of Mac probe results with
soil properties of which I am aware is the paper "Macintosh Probe as an
Exploration Tool" by A.A.Sabtan and W.M.Shehata in the October 1994
Bulletin of the International Association of Engineering Geology, Issue
No 50, pages 89 to 94. The paper also discusses some earlier
correlations and gives their references. It attempts to relate Mac
probe M value to SPT N-value in cohesive soil, and with relative density
for cohesionless soil. However, unfortunately the paper does not
present any soil plasticity results which is a pity, and doesn't refer
to Stroud and Butler's work ("The Standard Penetration Test and The
Engineering Properties of Glacial Materials", Proc Symp Eng Behaviour of
Glacial Materials, Uv of Birmingham, 1975, p124-135).

Concerning replying to messages, could I make a general request to
others to post replies on the list, if at all possible, rather than
replying directly to individuals raising queries (or both). Otherwise
one major potential benefit of monitoring a list such as this is lost.
There seems to be very little activity on this list, and very few
replies to queries. If replies are all going direct there will never be
much two way traffic.
